From Seafood to Sweet Treats: A Day of Adventure in Renon-Sanur, Bali
If you're looking for a fun-filled day in Renon-Sanur, then you must try this itinerary that involves good food, blue water beach, cute cats, beautiful gardens, and delicious dessert.
Start your day by heading to Mak Beng Sanur for lunch. This small and unassuming restaurant in Sanur is famous for its fish head soup. The broth is rich and flavorful, and the fish is always fresh. The restaurant only serves one dish, so you don't have to worry about making a choice. Mak Beng Sanur has been around for over 30 years, and its popularity has only grown over the years. Don't miss out on this authentic Balinese culinary experience. Be prepared to queue up, as it can get pretty crowded during lunch hours. But trust me, the wait is worth it!
After a satisfying lunch, head to Sanur Beach for a quick dip in the blue waters. Although it was hot, the beach was not crowded, and I found a quiet spot to relax. The water was crystal clear, and the cool breeze was refreshing. Even though I only spent 10 minutes at the beach, it was enough to rejuvenate my body and soul.
Next, head over to @rumahkucingfreya in Renon. This cat café is a great place to unwind and play with 21 adorable cats. You can interact with the cats in a comfortable and relaxed environment. The café is clean and well-maintained, and the cats are well-cared for. It's a perfect place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The cafe is designed to be cat-friendly, with plenty of toys, scratching posts, and hiding spots for the cats. Visitors are encouraged to interact with the cats and even play with them. I spent two hours at the cafe, petting the cats, taking photos, and learning about their unique personalities. It was a playful and relaxing experience that I will never forget.
The next stop is Big Garden Corner. The garden has an entrance fee of IDR 50,000 per person. The garden is filled with unique photo spots, a butterfly garden, a big free swing, and the miniature of world heritages. It is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and relax in nature.
Big Garden Corner was a bit disappointing and didn't quite live up to its entrance fee. There weren't many interesting spots to explore, and overall, it didn't seem worth the cost. However, it might be a good spot to bring kids since they do have a pool playground available for free. Instead of charging a high entrance fee, it might be better to charge a lower fee for the garden and a separate fee for the pool playground, so visitors can choose to pay extra if they want to access it.
Finally, end the day at Neko Ice Cream Cafe. This cute and cozy café is the perfect place to grab a sweet treat after a long day of exploring. They offer a wide variety of ice cream flavors, including some unique and exotic flavors. Sit back, relax, and savor the ice cream while reflecting on the wonderful day you've had exploring the best of Bali.
