If you only know Tegallalang Rice Terrace as one of tourist destinations in Ubud, especially in Tegallalang area, you must visit Alas Harum Bali. It is located in Jalan Raya Tegallalang. Alas Harum is well known for Luwak Coffee, swings, and especially the 3-layer pool. Right in front of the entrance, there is the largest Luwak statue in the world. The entry ticket price is Rp. 50.000 per person, whether you are a domestic or international tourist. You are not allowed to bring any food and drink inside.

The first thing you see when you enter this place are some Luwaks in a cage where you can feed them. At the next stop, a staff member will explain the process of making Luwak coffee from the Luwak's fecal matter. There are literally a lot of tourist attractions, photo spots, and activities that you can do, like glass floor, Bali swings, flying fox, dancing bridge, and many more. Some activities are free and some are chargeable starting from 115.000 rupiah. You can also have a-14-cups-of tea & coffee free tasting if buying a cup of Balinese Coffee (55.000 rupiah) or Luwak Coffee (115.000 rupiah).

The right time to visit Alas Harum is in the afternoon till sunset, because this place faces the east. So if you want to take pictures in the morning, it will most likely be backlighted. But be prepared for the crowds because this place has more visitors in the afternoon. If you wanna enjoy Alas Harum without too many people and you'd like to feel like it's a private place, it is recommended to come at 8 or 9 in the morning. Alas Harum is open from 8 am to 7 pm everyday. And if you wanna explore this whole place, I suggest you spend a minimum of 2 hours here.
