To save money for this staycation, I booked a stay about 1.5 - 2 months in advance before my staycation date. I already knew the place where I wanted to stay, so I only needed to find the cheapest price online. I tried to search on Google by typing the name of the hotel "Ubud Tropical Garden 2" and some price variants appeared on Traveloka, Tiket.com, Booking.com, and other applications. At that time, Booking.com offered the lowest price, only Rp. 110,000 / night, compared to other apps that offer more than Rp. 200,000/night.

The advantage of early booking is definitely getting a promo price (cheap price). Because when I checked again a few days before my staycation, it went up to around Rp. 400,000/night.

Reasons why I chose Ubud Tropical Garden 2:

  1. I've stayed there before and its facilities are very good. For Rp. 110.000 / night, you can get 4-5 star hotel facilities (King size bed, TV, fridge, bathtub, shower, big size room, mineral water, water kettle, table + mirror, cleaning, wardrobe, and clean swimming pool).

  2. Strategic location (near central Ubud)

  3. Good quality (clean and well maintained)

  4. Very friendly staff

Before traveling, I searched for tourist destinations in Ubud. Then I sorted them based on their locations and types of activities (physically intense, water-based, long walks, etc). I chose some that catch my eyes and are interesting to visit. After that, I separate them according to their locations. So, in a day, I can go to several tourist destinations in one area. I didn't make an itinerary with a specific time or price, just with an estimate. But after the staycation was done, I made this:
